AGRICULTURE

Some of the major challenges with control panels on farms would include harsh conditions indoors and outdoors and wide temperature swings, especially if in full sun in the summer and exposed to the elements in the winter. AAT can provide panels rated to withstand these conditions. Heaters, fans, and air conditioners can be used to stabilize the panels interior temperature to ensure all of the components inside are operating at their optimum temperature maximizing the lifespan of the components. From manure pumps, feed or mixing motors to fan controls we can design and build a solution for you.

greenhouse

Some of the major challenges in greenhouse control panels are the high temperatures and humidity, high inrush current of lighting circuits, resistance of long runs of cable, and the need for flexibility. Greenhouse requirements change with the different stages of a plant’s growth, with different crops, and with the changing seasons. Axiom has overcome these challenges and provided lighting control panels that can operate with 50% and 100% lights on in a circuit. We can control combined circuits of LED and high-pressure sodium lighting, and our designs minimize heat and maintenance costs. AAT also has experience building control panels for greenhouse fans, motorized louvers, and fertilizer mixing pumps.

Waste Management

The challenge in waste management is ensuring that refuse is properly separated so that as much garbage gets composted or recycled as possible before the rest is sent to the landfill. AAT designed and built controls for multi-story buildings to allow this to happen and combined with built-in compactor controls our customer has a turnkey controls solution with variations to accommodate different supply voltages, required degrees of waste separation, and compactor sizes.

MARINE

The challenge with marine applications is moisture and the corrosive effects of salt. Using Stainless steel enclosures and components rated to NEMA 4x you can have a panel that is built to withstand the elements even on the ocean. Axiom has built drive control panels used to raise and lower test equipment on and off of ships at sea. Fully exposed to the elements these panels are built to last.

Manufacturing and Packaging

There are many applications for the use of control panels in manufacturing and packaging and Axiom has built many panels for various functions in these industries. From motor, fan, and conveyor controls to robot control, process monitoring, data logging, and remote communication. One of the major considerations is always safety and as required our, control panels will always be built to UL safety standards. This might only mean including E-stops and disconnects but may include additional safety elements required or requested by the customer such as door interlocks, safety PLC’s, and signal towers.

mines

The challenge with mines is the weight of the product being moved, this means big conveyors and crushers, requiring big motors and therefore big drives and the potential for lots of heat. Axiom has built many panels for the mine industry, either floor mount or wall mount we will do thermal calculations to ensure proper panel cooling and line/load filters as required maximizing the efficiency and reliability of the panel. Whether the panel is going deep underground or on the surface we can help.

Food and Beverage

Control panels are an important part of food and beverage processing and packaging. Some of the challenges in this industry are the need for clean and wash-down resistant work spaces. It is often important to monitor different parts of a process at the same time and move product as quickly as possible through different stages of a process. Using NEMA 4x and hygienic components we can ensure the panels can at least handle the wash-down and are food safe. Using sensors or cameras we can control conveyor/process speeds, and more and more we see small robots being used to pick and place product from candy to corn.
